Meet Dr. Courtney Rose, DC, CACCP

Dr Courtney photoThere have been a series of events in Dr. Courtney’s life that led her down the path to becoming a chiropractor. She first experienced the value of chiropractic care following a car accident when she was a teenager that left her with debilitating migraines. Prior to receiving care, she visited countless doctors and was prescribed a wide range of medications including botox and vicodin. Two years later her family realized she could no longer continue down that road and decided to give chiropractic a chance. Her life was transformed as she no longer had migraines and was free from her dependency of medications.

Passion for Chiropractic

Her experiences led to a passion for chiropractic and only continued to grow when she started to realize the trend of addiction in our society. People were taking more medication, but were getting sicker. Unfortunately, the epidemic of addiction became even more apparent when she realized that it was impacting her own family and it had been for her entire life. Her father was heavily addicted to opioids as a result of self medicating from pain and ultimately this led to an increase in mental health issues. This inspired her to question the traditional medical model and better understand alternative therapies to help people truly heal.

Understanding Trauma and Its Physical Manifestations

As she learned the benefits of chiropractic, she also began to see that this could greatly impact people who have experienced all different types of trauma. This desire to better understand these connections became more imperative as it hit close to home. Dr. Courtney noticed how her mom’s own abuse and trafficking created PTSD and long term effects that manifested as physical ailments in the body and significantly impacted her overall health.

Integrative Approach to Healing

Throughout her years as a chiropractor, Dr. Courtney realized that patients with emotional traumas were not seeing maximum results. If the nervous system is unable to process stress and trauma, it can get stored in the body and result in chronic issues. This ignited a spark to find additional tools to further help her patients breakthrough abnormal patterns.
It wasn’t until she sought out ways to heal and break generational trauma that she discovered integrative psychotherapy and understood the significance of combining both chiropractic care and mental health services. Due to the brain-body connection, true healing comes when both of these parts are addressed. It was only natural that her life experiences and success with chiropractic care and different therapy techniques inspired a career in a field to further educate and serve others.
