New Patients at Innerlux Healing Collective
Welcome to our practice! We’re so happy you decided to experience a different type of health care at Innerlux Healing Collective. Our holistic approach to care offers results that might surprise you—in a good way! We can’t wait to see you and start your journey to better health and wellness.
We ask that all patients complete our paperwork and submit it online before coming to our office. Your two visits each take about 45 minutes and it is important that we have the entirety of these time slots as we don’t want to rush this process. In the event you are not able to complete your paperwork beforehand, please show up 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment to fill it out in person. If not, this might require us to reschedule your appointments and you may be subject to a fee. In order to reserve your spot we require payment upfront for your new patient visit. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time may also result in fees.
Your First Two Visits—What to Expect
We want you to feel comfortable and welcomed when you arrive at our space. You’ll receive a tour of the office prior to meeting with the doctor and completing a thorough history and exam. At this appointment we’ll obtain important objective and subjective measurements that determine your specific care plan based on your individual needs.
- X-rays: These provide us with invaluable information that allow us to better understand the structural patterns of the spine, despite what your complaint may be. Point of pain isn’t necessarily the point of problem, nor does lack of pain indicate optimal function. This is why X-rays are typically taken on most patients in order to prevent potential problems in the future (exclusions apply to patients who are pregnant or under the age of 7 years old with no trauma).
- Posture Analysis: Posture is the window to the spine which is why posture photos will be taken to provide deeper insight of your unique skeletal and muscular patterns. These will be used to analyze and improve postural distortions in the body. Additionally, bilateral weight scales will measure weight distribution to determine compensations that are affecting the integrity of your neurospinal system.
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV): State of the art technology is used to evaluate the baseline of your Autonomic Nervous System function (sympathetic and parasympathetic). Specific nervous system regulating techniques to manage stress will be given based on this information.
At your report of findings we will sit down one one to review your information and measurements. We will go over in detail how we can help you achieve your health goals. Based on what is discussed with the doctor, at this appointment you will have the opportunity to start care and receive your first adjustment.
Measuring Your Progress
These objective findings will be remeasured at different points throughout your care at Innerlux Healing Collective. In order to be results driven, monitoring and assessing your progress is a critical part of the process in order to achieve optimal results.
Based on your history and exam findings, your doctor will discuss what she found and how it affects your condition. Our job is to give you our best recommendations for care based on your findings and individual health goals.
Financial Responsibilities
Your doctor will address the financials during the report of findings. We accept insurance, HSA and FSA accounts, all major credit cards, and Care Credit (fees may apply). Our fees are comparable for the area; we never want payment to prevent you from getting the necessary care which is why we also offer discounted cash fees. Additionally, we offer a discount to first responders, military, teachers, and college students (with valid ID).
